Open Meetings for New Student Center

Dr. Keen invites the campus community to Open Meetings on the new Student Center. In order to keep the campus informed of the progress as well as obtain feedback on the plans for the Student Center , the following open meetings are scheduled:

  • Students - Thursday, September 20, 5:00-6:00 p.m., Roosevelt Hall 111
  • Faculty & Staff - Thursday, September 27, 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Gleeson Hall 202

All are welcome to attend either or both of these meetings; however, issues specific to each group will be addressed at each meeting. Your opinions and insights are important to the planning process.

Farmingdale State College students have never had a true Student Union. The new Student Union will be a hub on campus where free academic lectures and concerts will be held for both students and members of the community. In addition to lecture rooms and a concert hall, the new student union is also expected to contain a bookstore, recreational facilities, and food services.

Students please visit the Current Student Online Information System to see H&G Architects' four unique proposals for the new student center's construction. Faculty and staff visit H&G Architects' Proposal on the intranet
