Farmingdale State College Halloween Blood Drive

The Farmingdale State College Blood Drive on October 31, 2006 was a record-breaking success and the "best-ever" recruitment efforts were spearheaded by Nursing students Heidi Kubit , Theresa Weber , and Laura Sullivan. Long Island Blood Services Manager Sue Lingfelter thanked FSC and said of the students:

In 18 years of working with college students at blood drives, I have never worked with a more enthusiastic, hardworking and organized group of students. They worked diligently to recruit donors prior to the drive and provided much needed volunteers the day of the drive. The record breaking results of 130 donations could not have been accomplished without their commitment to saving lives. Farmingdale should be proud to be represented by students like them.

Dr. Marie Hayden-Miles , Dean, School of Health Sciences and the faculty of the Department of Nursing congratulate Long Island Blood Services and the FSC Nursing students on the success of the Blood Drive .
