Kathleen Ferrell Appointed to the Farmingdale State College Council

Dr. W. Hubert Keen , president of Farmingdale State College, is pleased to announce that Kathleen Ferrell has been appointed to the College Council. The appointment was made by former Governor George Pataki .

Ms. Ferrell is the coordinator of Special Programs in the Office of the Vice President, Economic Development at Stony Brook University . In this role, she assists with a broad range of special economic, industrial and educational programs, including the Center of Excellence in Wireless & Information Technology and the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center .

In addition to her seat on the Farmingdale State College Council, she is a board member of the New York State Bureau of Tobacco Use Prevention & Control and a member of New York State Senate Task Force on Educational Equity.

A golf enthusiast, Ms Ferrell has played golf throughout the United States , Scotland , Canada , and the Islands . She is the mother of four children: Ashley & Chelsea (twins, 23), Emily (21), and son Kerry (17) and has lived in Shoreham for the past 27 years.
