Welcome Message

On behalf of the Faculty and Staff, I would like to welcome you to our Department of Security Systems and Law Enforcement Technology (SSLET). The Department currently offers the following Bachelor degree programs.

It is one of the largest Departments in the College providing high-quality education along with hands-on experience in state-of-the-art technologies. Students are being trained on several areas of security and law enforcement field, including:

  • Computer Forensics
  • Computer Security
  • Forensic Technology
  • Criminal Database
  • Crime Mapping and Analysis
  • Physical Security and Crime Prevention
  • Security Software System & Tool Design

We have a strong pool of Faculty and staff to serve our students. Faculty in the Department have academic and research expertise in broad areas of computer security, forensic science, criminal justice, and software technology. They are heavily involved to research works and grants. The Department is part of the Infrastructure and Transportation Security Center formed under the SUNY 2020 grant.

We are continuously updating our labs and curriculums in order to make them up-to-date and meeting the current technological needs. Our programs are being reviewed by external experts and supervised by a great Advisory Board.
